Welcome!

MYO Speech Therapy, PLLC, is a private practice specializing in speech and language disorders and orofacial myofunctional disorders for both adults and children. MYO Speech Therapy, PLLC, is located in downtown Matthews, North Carolina. In addition to our office location, we also provide on-site services in daycares, preschools, and schools in Matthews and in South Charlotte.

Martha Weaver, MA, CCC-SLP, COM®, the owner, graduated from James Madison University in 1992 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Speech-Language Pathology and received her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1994. She has several years of experience and has enjoyed working in various settings, including adult inpatient and outpatient rehab, daycares, public and private schools, and most recently in a private practice setting serving mostly pediatrics. Martha loves working with both adults and children of all ages. Martha is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and received her Certification from the  International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) in September, 2018. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in North Carolina (#4952), South Carolina (#7184), & Virginia (#2202002469).
